About Us

I am a Badminton World Federation Level 1 and Sri Lanka Badminton Level 2  Badminton Coach with 20+ years coaching experience. I have been the Head Coach at Uva Wellassa University, Badulla Vihara Vihara Mahadevi Girls College, Badulla Central College, Tamil Girls School Badulla, Millennium Information Technology (MIT), Johon Keels Holdings, Dilmah Company Colombo, David Peries Motor Company Colombo.

I am also the co-founder of the Shuttlers Badminton and Table Tennis Academy with Dr.Nadith Pathirage.

In 2011, I was honoured to be invited as the the Head Coach of the International tour to Malaysia with the MBA Sri Lankan Badminton team.

My best Badminton Coaching performance was winning the first international championship in under 9 girls singles in Singapore in 2022. I was also able to produce Sri Lanka rank no 1 in under 15 boys singles category in 2018.

My vision is to provide the best environment for young players to thrive, and to achieve goals. My sessions are fast-paced and dynamic, embracing the fun Sri Lankan style of junior training. I have consistently developed and guided young players to Bronze/Silver/Gold grades and medal successes at Junior National & International Levels.

Dr. Nadith, a proud Anandian, is not only a highly accomplished badminton state player but also a visionary in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). His unique combination of skills and passions has led him to establish Shuttlers Badminton Academy, where his vision extends far beyond just playing the sport.

As a former badminton state player of Western Australia, Dr. Nadith understands the dedication, discipline, and hard work required to excel in the sport. He knows that to compete at the highest level, aspiring athletes need more than just physical prowess. They need a safe and nurturing environment that provides them with the resources and support to reach their full potential.
